GlastoPoem (a very glastonbury poem)

This year the BBC Poetry Season has delved into the world of poetry with eclectic programming and collaborative events.
Glastonbury 2009 is soon to witness an innovative merging of technology and poetry. With the support of Nitro Digital & the Igloo Vision projection dome at Glastonbury will be treated to an interactive Twitter Poem.
GlastoPoem will take an RSS feed from the social networking site Twitter. Twitter users can participate in this communal micro-poem by assigning the hashtag #GlastoPoem to their messages. This interaction can occur within Glastonbury or from anywhere with an internet connection.
These “Tweets” will be projected onto the inner circumference of the Igloo whilst a VJ merges the vivid 3D visuals. Quadraphonic sound will also help enhance the experience.
This(almost) real time installation will occur on Thursday 25th June from 12-5pm & Saturday from 10–5pm.
A number of artists & celebrities will also be performing spoken word and poetry from the dome. During this time a VJ (Visual Jockey) will be integrating the best micropoems, images and videos with the domes visuals. In the evening a number of secret DJ sets will then take centre stage.
Bluetooth messages will be sent to recipients handsets whilst in the dome. The content will include videos created especially for this year’s Poetry Season. A Bluetooth logo projected within the dome will direct participants to the Bluetooth zone.
